Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician at ProTouch Staffing summary:

The Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician position requires board certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R, with a focus on performing PRN C&P exams and health assessments for Veterans. Responsibilities include conducting interview-based exams, range of motion testing, and evaluating conditions such as traumatic brain injury, while no prescribing or treatment is involved. Opportunities for telehealth and flexible scheduling are available, with competitive compensation and quick credentialing.

  • Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
  • Killeen, TX - per diem available - Must be within 50 miles
PRN as needed.

1099 compensation:
-$750 for half day (4 hours)
-$1600 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment

Details:

  • Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
  • Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
  • Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
  • Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
  • One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
  • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
  • No prescribing, no treatment
  • Quick credentialing & onboarding
  • DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
  • Use of Goniometer required
  • Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
  • Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)

The provider will need to complete their DMA training
