The Hematology/Oncology Physician will provide medical care in an acute care hospital setting, managing a daily census of 12-15 patients. Responsibilities include patient encounters, collaborating with support staff, and ensuring timely documentation in the EMR system. Applicants must possess an Arizona medical license and be board certified in Hematology/Oncology, with at least three years of relevant experience.
Duration: Up to 6 months, starting ASAP
Schedule:
- Days: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 36 patient hours + 4 hours admin time
- Frequency: 3-4 weeks/month + 1 weekend of call/month
Responsibilities:
- Setting: General Medical Oncology, hospital-based, and clinic.
- Daily Census: 12-15 patients, with patient encounters in the morning and afternoon.
- Support Staff: Oncologist, Medical Assistants, RNs, Nurse Practitioners, Referral Specialist, Receptionists, Patient Advocate, and Practice Manager.
- EMR: Cerner
Requirements:
- Licenses: Arizona license required, IMLC accepted.
- Certifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology, BLS required, ACLS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical oncology.
- Credentials: DEA required.
- Vaccines: COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (exemptions allowed).
