Required: Completed a residency in Psychiatry and a fellowship in Neuropsychiatry or Consult Liaison psychiatry
Required: Medical Degree from an Accredited University Hospital employed position
100% Inpatient Role Schedule:Monday - FridayStrong track record in managing patients with neurological and psychiatric conditions is preferredFamiliarity and/or interest in learning interventional psychology modalities. (TMS, ECT etc.) is preferredExperience in research or academic settings is preferred
Responsibilities:Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with neuropsychiatric conditions
Treatment Planning and Management: Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological, psychotherapeutic, and advanced interventions such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for conditions like treatment-resistant depression or obsessive-compulsive disorder
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with hospitalist, neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation specialists, advanced practice providers (APPs), etc. to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care
Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on neuropsychiatric conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery and quality of life
Research and Innovation: Contribute to cutting-edge research initiatives by participating in clinical trials or leading studies in neuropsychiatry, with opportunities for publication and collaboration with academic institutions
Program Development: Collaborate on developing and expanding on the organization's psychiatry services, enhancing access to advanced diagnostic tools, and establishing innovative care protocols.
