We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a part-time contract role in Gastonia, NC, within the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This position involves providing in-home psychiatric care, conducting patient examinations, diagnosing mental illnesses, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for treatment planning. Ideal candidates will have an MD or DO degree, relevant experience, and strong communication skills, making a meaningful contribution to community mental health.

We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a unique contract role within the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This part-time position, based in Gastonia, NC, involves providing in-home psychiatric care to individuals in the community and requires driving to patients' homes within a 20-30 mile radius. Primary Duties:
  • Conduct in-home patient examinations, diagnose mental illnesses, and prescribe effective treatment plans.

  • Coordinate mental health and substance abuse services with primary healthcare providers to ensure integrated, comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with a minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience.
  • Valid state licensure as a Board-Certified Psychiatrist.
  • Willing and able to drive within the community for in-home patient visits.
  • Exceptional documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

Work Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
