Schedule

• 12 hour day shift with 12 hour night on call shift
• 7am-7pm

Clinical Details

• 12 bed, Open ICU
  • Day Shift: avg census of 16 and 5 admits per shift
  • Hospitalist start out with rounding in the ICU, seeing overnight admits and then rounding at the med-surg unit collaborating with the hospital nursing staff and case management
• Night Call:
  • Average 2-3 Admissions, any quick response needed, the ED physician on duty will handle
• Hospitalist is responsible for running codes and responds with Rapid Response Team
• Responsible for APP supervision when an APP is called in for high census

Required Procedures:

• Arterial Lines, Central Lines, Intubations, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Vent Management

Requirements

• Active AL License
• Board Certified ABIM
• BLS, ACLS
• Must have 2 years hospitalist experience

EMR

• Med Host. Dictation with fluency flex
