Psychiatrist coverage for 7/12 01/21
Will accept candidates with temp or emergency ME licenses while their State of Maine license is processing.
Coverage may be for outpatient services or Inhouse hospital flexibility would be ideal as they are trying to work out the details
Outpatient is working with their well-seasoned (ACT) team. Patients are forensic, having been found Not Criminal Responsible (NCR). These individuals have stabilized and no longer require the acuity of their hospital setting. Total patient panel consists of approximately 60 patients, shared with our PMHNP. A typical day would consist of 6-8 encounters.
Inpatient hospital is working with their comprehensive direct care team. Patients are committed through forensic or civil. Overall census and ratio between forensic and civil will be shifting. They have one of their 4 units closed to handle admissions and quarantining. They re looking to open the unit back up as cases drop and vaccinations increase. At this time there is overlapping psychiatric coverage on units. When all of their units are open again, the largest unit is 24 beds.
