Internal Medicine Physician at Moonlighting Solutions summary:

Internal Medicine Physicians are responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care during night shifts at a community hospital. They perform admissions, consults, rounds, and discharges while also responding to urgent calls and conducting necessary procedures. This role emphasizes patient safety and includes teaching opportunities within the healthcare team.

Moonlighting Solutions is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Hospitalists to provide night shift coverage. This is an opportunity to participate in a teaching program that includes a great staff to work with.

This very small town/tight community hospital has consistently received recognition for excellence in patient safety and patient safety preventative measures from the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award.

Details, Responsibilities, & Shifts:

  • Night Shift 7p-7a
  • Performing Admissions, Consults, Rounding and Discharges for the Internal Medicine Hospitalist Service
  • Providing cross-cover services to the patients already on the Hospitalist Service
  • Responding to Code Blue and Rapid Response calls
  • Performing Internal Medicine procedures including Insertion & Management of mechanical ventilation; central venous infusion lines, central venous pressure lines, and arterial lines

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate

  • Malpractice insurance provided, plus tail

Requirements:

  • Internal Medicine Board Certified/Board Eligible
  • North Carolina Medical License and North Carolina DEA
  • Must be qualified and willing to perform all required procedures
  • Must provide recent procedure log
