Hematology/Oncology Physician at BAS Healthcare summary:

The Hematology/Oncology Physician position offers a unique opportunity to provide outpatient care in a vibrant community south of Denver, Colorado, known for its rugged outdoor adventures and cultural experiences. This role includes coverage of two hospitals, participation in high-level tumor boards, and a supportive work/life integration with a manageable call schedule. Location: A little over an hour south of Denver, Colorado. Facility: A prominent medical facility providing a wide range of medical services to the community, including emergency care, surgery, obstetrics, cardiology, oncology, and more. The hospital is known for its advanced medical technologies, skilled healthcare professionals, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Opportunity:
  • 4.5 days per week + .5 day admin
  • Coverage of two hospitals within a 12 mile radius
  • Participation in high-level tumor boards within a Level 1 trauma center.
  • Unique outpatient Hematology/Oncology opportunity with work/life integration.
  • Provide general care to a wide variety of patients.
  • Number of patients seen per day: 18-20, time at the discretion of the provider (new patient vs. follow-up)
  • Primarily seeing outpatient
  • Call schedule of 1:9 with minimal clinic duties during your call week. Weekends only while on call. 7 straight days of call (Friday morning to Friday morning) with travel between the hospitals (20 minutes apart). There is a Hem/Onc Hospitalist to assist the 9 with call (and hope to hire more).
  • Physicians have the ability to subspecialize
  • GynOnc and RadOnc both on site at both hospitals/cancer centers
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Qualify for federal school loan forgiveness program
Compensation:
  • To be discussed at second interview
  • If applicable, a quality and/or productivity bonus may be offered
  • Relocation package may be offered to eligible candidates.
