• Daily Responsibilities: GI locums cover unassigned ED call, inpatient census and consults
• Shifts/Schedule Expectations: 24hr inpatient call coverage

• Patients per day/Census for GI:
o Census is 10-25. Never under 10.
o 5-12 consults a day. Average 8
o rounding on current inpatient service - 6
o # hrs new consults (ED and floor) Usually around 6 but can be up to 10
o # times called by ED for unassigned ER patients - 8-10
• Procedures Required/Preferred:
o EGD, sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy.
o Bleeding control (hemostasis), biopsy
• Does site use conscious sedation and/or anesthesiology support? 24/7 anesthesia
• Required Life Certifications: BLS preferred
