We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon to join our dynamic team at Orthopaedic Associates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, utilizing both surgical and non-surgical approaches. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled physician who is committed to providing excellent care and improving patient outcomes. Orthopaedic Associates has locations at Destin, Ft. Walton Beach, Crestview and Niceville, where our providers rotate their schedules to provide care for our community

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for a variety of foot and ankle conditions, including fractures, deformities, arthritis, tendinitis, and sports-related injuries.
  • Perform both elective and trauma-related surgeries, including arthroscopic procedures, joint replacements, tendon repairs, and corrective surgeries for deformities.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, discussing options ranging from conservative management to surgical interventions.
  • Manage postoperative care, including follow-up visits, wound care, and rehabilitation guidance.
  • Provide excellent communication with patients, families, and medical staff, ensuring patient education and clear understanding of treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists, pain management specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in foot and ankle orthopedics.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the orthopedic practice by actively engaging in marketing, patient outreach, and maintaining a high standard of care.
  • Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, or fellows, if applicable.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for trauma and emergency care as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery with a subspecialty focus on Foot and Ankle Surgery.
  • Completion of an accredited orthopedic residency program and a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery (preferred).
  • Valid, unrestricted medical license in Florida.
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care, with an emphasis on patient education and long-term outcomes.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and varied caseload, including complex foot and ankle conditions.Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in minimally invasive surgery and advanced surgical techniques.
  • Knowledge of the latest innovations and technologies in foot and ankle orthopedics.
  • Active involvement in academic, research, or clinical teaching is a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and patients.
