Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in lacey, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/10/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel UNIT:Lacey OCED CLINICAL INTERVIEWS Active WA/Compact license. Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, TNCC. Experience Required: 2 full years of true ER (any trauma level) Strong ED, strong customer service, ventilator class (BiPAP) will provide during on boarding, knowledge of medication administration (mix own meds), chest tubes, central lines, strong IV skills. Floating: All other OCEDS, Mid shift floating (will pay for travel time). Will call traveler if you have to float before shift starts. General Information Beds: 10, total 20 treatment spaces First-time traveler: Yes Will be assigned a primary OCED, but the expectation when needed is to float to other OCED sites as needed and primary site may change depending on needs. Minimum night staffing varies per location usually 4 RN & 1 LPN, but can be 2 RN & 1 LPN Patient Types: Neonates Geriatrics, 25% Peds, Walk-in traumas, all types of patients ranging from cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psych, frequent drop off GSWs Will have to provide care to intubated patients will provide training for ventilator and bipap as there are no RT onsite, RN;s manage vent/bipap. Covid & PPE: N95s PAPRs Goggles Patient Ratios: 1:4 Fast track 1:6 team nurse (LVP, NP) Support on the Unit: LPN Ratio: (LPNS: 2 1 will assist in rooms, and fast tracks) can take low acuity assignments as well as assist with procedures and medication administration (within their scope) Charge nurse: does take partial pt assignment is free in the afternoon to float and give breaks EST/Phlebotomy: Assist draw blood, but majority is RN draw or LPN No RT- RN;s will manage Vents No Pharm- will mix your own meds under the supervision of pharmacy via video conference Charting System/Equipment: EPIC Alaris Pyxis About Travel Nurse Across America At TNAA, we take pride in doing things differently.
