PURPOSE
Senior Truckload Pricing Analyst role is to provide pricing and market information to both Sales Representatives, Account Management and at times, the outside agent network for full truckload freight. Senior Truckload Pricing Analyst uses historical transportation data, internet-based websites, which provide carrier pricing information, and market forecast information to determine full truckload pricing for both spot and year-round truckload business opportunities. Ultimately, the Senior Truckload Pricing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all assigned pricing activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Senior Truckload Pricing Analyst reports to the Director of Truckload Pricing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the administration and quoting for all types of TL opportunities. This may entail a focus on enterprise level annual RFPs, typically 1,000 + lanes and/or 50,000+ annual loads and/or $8M+ annual truckload spends and/or mid-market level pricing opportunities with customers ranging from $250k to $8M in annual truckload spend.
• Assist in providing fixed term business quotes and spot business quotes
• Assist efforts for automated spot pricing
• Assist with Bid Management
• Assist with Award Tracking and post bid analysis
• Ability to supply pricing based on customer relationship level
• Communicate to sales and account management:
o Difficulty of solidifying capacity on given lanes
o Cost determinants when deviating from standard
o Affective markup strategies and thought process
• Identify truckload market trends as well as capacity strengths and weaknesses to effectively drive business
• Work with sales/account management to identify best strategies for accounts and best strategies for specific opportunities to grow accounts YoY
• Monitor and update pricing matrices for lane assignments, on a weekly basis
• Identify and collaborate with Managers of Capacity, top Senior Carrier Representatives and information sources for assigned lanes and markets
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Bachelors’ degree preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2 years’ experience in Logistics or Transportation Industry preferred
o Specifically, in a pricing role or
o Fielding a large volume of quotes in a customer facing role or
o Booking a large volume of loads in a carrier facing role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including attention to detail regarding punctuation and spelling.
• Intermediate-Advanced excel knowledge.
• Intermediate-Advanced analytical skills.
• Problem-solving skills are required.
• Organized, detail oriented, possess a sense of urgency and have the ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to multi task, learn quickly and adapt to change easily.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must be able to work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

• The ability to use a phone, computer, printer, and copier is required.
• Frequent use of Microsoft office products, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• The ability to use the internet and various web browser software is required.
