We are looking to add an experienced Vice President, FP&A to our Irving, TX team.
As the Vice President, FP&A, you will:
- Coordinate the BioTE that operational planning, estimates/forecasts and budgeting process are linked to the strategic planning process
- Develop innovative planning methods that leverage integrated performance management metrics as inputs into a “driver” based planning process aimed at establishing and entrenching a rolling forecast methodology.
- Prepare, and deliver budget, planning and financial presentations to executive management.
- Work closely with the finance and other departments in the budgeting process, particularly as it relates to allocation of funding and resources for cross-functional strategic objectives
- Define the strategic component of operational expenses and capital investment programs
- Drive the development of business intelligence tools such as dashboards that provide integrated performance management metrics and trends
- Analyze current and past trends in metrics including all areas of revenue, COGS, operating expenses, capital expenditure and balance sheet and report on the trends vs the criteria and objectives developed in the strategic and operational planning process.
- Develop, implement and promote the usage of the business intelligence tools and dashboards needed to monitor the integrated performance management metrics and promote proactive responses to address deviations from the defined criteria and objectives.
- Provide financial support to the executives of the business on a routine and ad hoc basis
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and strategic initiatives, including but not limited to ROI modeling of capital expenditures, marketing/sales programs, sales incentive compensation modeling, real/strategic option modeling, and other types of analysis that significantly impact business decision making.
- Support the business development activities with regards to acquisition valuation, due diligence and scenario planning
- Communicate results to the relevant stakeholders in an efficient and appropriate manner
- Establish proper financial control over the authorization of spends in alignment with the budgets and the expenditures process (allowing for solid expense management with executable systems and controls)
- Lead, train and develop talent within the financial analysis department through hiring and retaining financial analysts, utilize the company’s goal setting and performance review process, and provide mentorship and career planning for direct reports.
- Manage the financial analysis operating and capital budgets and identify areas of savings for continuous improvement within the department.
- Ensure management of the financial analysis department focusing on Topline Sales, Cost of Goods, Expense Management and ultimately profitability measures
- Create a Matrix of integrated financial, operational and non-financial measuring strategy execution
- Other duties as assigned
As the Vice President, FP&A, your background should include:
- Masters level education preferred, minimum 4 year degree in Finance and/or Accounting
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience and direct supervisory experience
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management
- Significant analytical and financial modeling experience and data mining knowledge
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, and analytical skills
- Systems power user with a high skill level in managing financial dataflows and databases
- Demonstrated experience assisting in decision-making through influence and cross-functional collaboration across various levels and functions
- Effective project management skills; highly organized, independent, and self-motivated
- Practical hands-on experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and evolving business environment
