Cocomint Inc. is the parent company of Cocomint Beauty, the number 1 TikTok Shop for Asian Beauty in the U.S. Cocomint Inc. is the retail arm of a wholesale company and was founded in 2023.

We are passionate about skincare innovation, and recognize how beauty products can play an important role in an individual's life. Having sold over 1 million Asian beauty products on TikTok Shop and initiated several viral trends in the TikTok beauty space, we are looking to constantly push the envelope of what is possible in the intersection of Asian Beauty technology and Western sensibilities.

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented Product Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead the product development process from concept to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful introduction of innovative beauty products.

Manufacture will be based in both Korea and the U.S., so prior experience with international manufacture is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Brainstorming and conceptualizing for product ideation
• Conduct competitive product research
• Create product briefs and product package copy sheets
• Gather and analyze feedback from consumer testing panels and internal stakeholders to help refine new product formulations
• Support packaging options evaluation
• Coordinate packaging components and samples
• Conduct research on market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to inform product development strategies
• Coordinate consumer user tests and online surveys, as needed
• Stay updated on emerging trends in skincare and beauty, contributing insights to product development discussions and ideation
• Assist with planning the key activities, from start to finish, that include survey and questionnaire creation, participant recruitment and interface management
• Support product project management activities, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring projects stay on track

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

• Degree in Marketing, New Product Development or a related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of new product development experience or related roles within Beauty, Skin Care, or other Personal Care industry preferred
• Prior exposure or understanding of Korean skincare and cosmetics products is preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools (Asana)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• A genuine interest in skincare and beauty products, with a keen understanding of consumer needs
• Strong understanding of product marketing and new product development process/stage gates
• Ability to successfully collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with incredible attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and handle numerous on-going projects simultaneously
• A positive, can-do attitude and helpful, problem-solving work ethic
