Administrative Assistant - Project Coordinator – Interior Design & Construction

Ann Arbor Michigan

Hybrid work schedule

Salary $50k range + benefits (could go higher on salary for right person)

Paid overtime

Client is open to training someone with a degree and desire to be in the industry



Design and construction firm specializing in creating stunning, functional spaces for residential clients. Their passion for design and commitment to excellence has earned us a reputation for delivering exceptional projects on time and within budget. Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join team and help bring our clients' visions to life.


Position Summary:

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and completion of interior design construction projects.

You will work closely with designers, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure every detail is managed efficiently and effectively.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating interior design construction projects from concept to completion.
  • Maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between clients, designers, and contractors to facilitate clear communication.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, budgets, and status reports.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including quotes, contracts, and performance tracking.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in interior design or construction.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technologies
  • Familiarity with interior design processes, construction terminology a plus
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities to anticipate and address challenges effectively.
