Mechanical Engineer (2-5 Years)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our growing DC Metro office is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with two to five years of experience in the consulting engineering field, who is passionate about their craft and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The desired individual should be comfortable consulting to architects, vendors and general contractors, and have a desire to work as part of a multidiscipline engineering team. We value self-motivated individuals with an enthusiastic mindset, an interest to work on diverse projects, and attention to detail to deliver quality engineering services.
LOCATION: Fulton, MD
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 2 years of relevant HVAC and plumbing engineering experience.
- Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and building
- Registration as either an E.I.T or a P.E. (required)
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, Bluebeam, and general electronic drawing format software (required).
- Experience with load modeling software, preferably Trane TRACE or HAP.
- Contribute to Coffman’s marketing and business initiatives as needed.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical engineering and construction practices
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
- Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
- Able to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
- Work independently.
- Able to communicate and collaborate with engineers in other offices.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
