Electrical Engineer – Ringgold Plant
Position Overview:
The Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to the Plant Manager, will provide expertise in designing, managing, and supporting electrical and control systems at our Ringgold facility. This role is integral to advancing processes, supporting capital projects, and ensuring equipment reliability. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Design
Develop and implement control systems software (e.g., PLC, HMI, SCADA) to standardize and advance processes.
Evaluate and select electrical devices to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with applicable codes (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
Create and update electrical prints for new equipment installations and process improvements.
Design electrical and control systems compliant with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., NEC, ISO9001, OSHA, NFPA 70E).
Conduct load calculations and risk assessments to minimize power quality issues and connected load risks.
Identify and support energy efficiency initiatives, including advanced drive systems and reduced phantom loads.
Project Management
Develop project specifications, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Conduct risk analyses and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
Oversee equipment installations and modifications, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including layout drawings, equipment details, and training materials.
Provide regular project status updates to leadership and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.
Technical Support
Provide technical assistance to teams, including calculations, specifications, and equipment troubleshooting.
Estimate production times, staffing needs, and costs to inform management decisions.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Support continuous improvement by enhancing equipment availability and reliability.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing or project management, including process control experience.
Enterprise systems and applications (SAP required).
Design tools, such as AutoCAD and Wonderware (InTouch, ActiveX, DCOMM, System Platform).
Expertise in PLC and HMI programming, medium voltage power distribution, and AC/DC drive systems.
