A government agency located in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Systems Administrator to work within the Office of Information Technology - Systems Administration department. The position will involve providing ongoing support, design, and delivery of Microsoft solutions to meet business objectives and technical requirements. The role focuses on creating effective knowledge sharing, collaboration, and workflow solutions to drive the successful delivery of M365 solutions within a multi-tenant platform. The main areas of focus will include Office 365, Security and Compliance, Exchange, MFA, ADFS, and all administration-related tasks involving Identity management within the M365 environment. Additional responsibilities will include managing and administering technologies such as Intune, Active Directory, LDAP, VIS, and other third-party software currently used within the OIT environment. Experience with SCCM and Intune platforms for deploying, managing, and providing solutions for client systems is required.

Contract Duration: 8-month contract, with potential for extension and conversion to full-time
Skills Required:
- Building, deploying, and implementing solutions in SCCM and Intune for client systems.
- Troubleshooting Microsoft products related to WSUS, Group Policy, Windows OS, and Windows Servicing in an enterprise-scale environment.
- Collaborating with Microsoft 365 Product owners to support daily operations and resolve issues related to solutions such as Email, E-Discovery, Content Search, and other Microsoft platforms.
- Providing technical support for escalated incidents from the helpdesk, resolving system and identity issues related to environment changes.
- Assisting in the implementation of a Microsoft 365 roadmap, leveraging new platform innovations as they are released.
- Proficiency in F5 and VxRail, including hands-on experience with configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
- Assisting with content migration from various sources (servers, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) to the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Supporting configuration and policy implementation for Microsoft portals and services managed by the department.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and self-direct.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience with Hybrid Office 365 deployments and ADSync using ADConnect solutions.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting to manage/support Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments.
- Knowledge of DNS, Email Gateway, and technical experience across various platforms.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365 products.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration and configuration in multiple system environments.
Education Required:
- Bachelor s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with a focus in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
