The Role:

We are looking for an IT Operations Lead to take full ownership of IT infrastructure and operations. This is a hands-on role where you will lead the transition from an outsourced IT model to a fully in-house function, ensuring seamless integration and scalability across the organization. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient and resourceful problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transition IT Operations: Lead the migration of IT operations from an outsourced model to an in-house function, building internal systems and capabilities.
• Build & Optimize: Manage and optimize a Microsoft-centric IT environment with seamless integration of lab equipment (e.g., Nikon microscopes).
• Drive Scalability: Assess infrastructure and plan for future network, server, and cloud expansions to meet growing organizational demands.
• Own IT End-to-End: Serve as the organization’s IT lead, managing all aspects of IT operations as a one-person team while ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, and scaling IT systems for fast-growing organizations.
• Expertise in managing Microsoft-based environments, including server administration and software integration.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment integration and familiarity with scientific IT systems is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and implement scalable network and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• A proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated approach to managing IT end-to-end.
