JOB TITLE: Application Developer

KeenLogic is seeking an Application Developer to join our team at the NYC Department of Social Services. The Department of Social Services (DSS) requires full lifecycle systems application development across various platforms. These include client eligibility systems, recerti?cation systems, employment and work engagement services, claims systems, and other critical applications necessary for DSS operations.

Maintaining these applications at optimal service levels is essential to meeting DSS's business needs and workload demands. IT consulting resources are crucial to support DSS's expanding responsibilities.

This is a full-time position o?ering Fortune 500-level bene?ts, PTO, 401k, and Life Insurance, and monthly reimbursement for travel. Candidates must be willing to provide on-site support at the DSS location in Brooklyn or other designated DSS sites within the ?ve boroughs of New York City. This will be a two-year contract with the possibility of extension, pending con?rmation.

Required Skills:

4+ years of experience with:

Development and maintenance of PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, and Functions in Oracle 12c

Performance tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code

XML processing and object-oriented programming involving large objects

Data structures, manipulation, database design, testing, and implementation

Creating technical and user documentation, as well as software conversion

Tasks & Duties:

Develop System Design:

Create design documentation addressing system and security requirements.

Develop speci?cations for databases, hardware, networks, security, and software con?gurations.

Produce structured diagrams for systems, databases, and network security.

Develop and Maintain Code:

Write PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and SQL queries in Oracle 12c.

Optimize and tune SQL and PL/SQL code for performance.

Work with XML processing and object-oriented programming with large objects.

Develop System Documentation:

Draft operational and installation procedures for systems and networks.

Create guidelines for database and hardware support, including security and client- server systems.

Document con?gurations of databases, servers, and monitoring systems.

System Coding:

Write and maintain code in .NET and Low Code Application Platform (LCAP).

Provide programming support for various projects as needed.

Test and ensure program functionality aligns with requirements.
