Job Description
The Office of Technology Services (OTS) seeks a Senior Application Programmer to support the development, administration, and configuration of a custom-built .NET development project. This role involves providing oversight, guidance, and technical mentorship while ensuring compliance with Louisiana state technology standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, administer, and configure custom .NET applications.
- Provide technical training, knowledge transfer, and documentation to state personnel.
- Oversee performance improvements of the customer-agency’s replacement software.
- Conduct code reviews and perform thorough testing.
- Participate in team meetings and design sessions based on Scrum methodologies.
- Collaborate with the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice Technical Architect to ensure compliance with OTS standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with:
- C#
- ASP.NET Core
- MSSQL
- Proven experience in enterprise-level software development.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Leadership experience guiding teams within the Microsoft development stack.
- Experience working on accounting-based projects.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Vue, React, NodeJS, Angular, and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of distributed systems (Microservices/SOA).
- Experience with SSRS report development.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tasks.
- Proficiency in Git Version Control System and branching strategies for complex systems.
