To supervise Production and Mixing Operations. Support the delivery of orders to customers in a cost-effective way that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- 3-5 years supervisory experience required
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment required
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- HAZWOPER certification preferred.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work 1st shift (Mon – Fri) 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Ability to work overtime as needed (Saturday/Sunday)
- Oversee production (Mixing, Filters, and Assembly)
- Transacts in and supports others in ERP and other systems.
- Collaborates with the Planning department on production needs and schedules. Provide appropriate paperwork to the warehouse for picking.
- Utilize D3FO to RAF all finished products.
- Support Capex projects phases.
- Responsible for meeting production schedules and schedule attainment.
- Assign production employees to jobs in accordance with production schedule requirements.
- Supervise and cross-train employees to set up and operate multiple production stations.
- Participate in personnel hiring process.
- Execute corrective actions (i.e. discipline, including terminations if required) as required.
- Comply with, and enforce compliance with all ISO 9000 manufacturing, production and quality procedures.
- Be responsible for meeting all production metrics including reporting accuracy.
- Schedule and execute overtime schedules as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement 5S, Lean Manufacturing and general productivity.
- Always maintain safe working conditions and environment and prepare thorough accident/incident investigation reports when required.
- Manage time-keeping system for direct reports. Maintain accurate records for all direct reports. This includes (i.e. lateness, PTO time, absenteeism, sick time, holidays, etc.)
- Maintain all employee records (training, etc.)
- Supervise mixing and production associates.
- Supervise Spill Team as needed.
- Participate in cycle counts as needed.
- Make calls in case of fire or chemical emergencies.
- Write and maintain procedures, forms, checklists as needed.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality incidents.
- Make recommendations to improve productivity, costs, save labor, save raw materials, improve process time or product quality and improve safety.
- Comply with all environmental and safety regulations.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the company.
