Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical support and consulting via phone, email, and in person, with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Skilled at explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical clients in an understandable and educational manner.
- Extensive experience maintaining and troubleshooting Windows (10+), macOS, and iOS in integrated, multi-server environments.
- Proficient in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software, including Microsoft Office and other office automation tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including implementing and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and managing directory services in multi-server environments.
- Proficient in client management software such as Altiris and skilled in supporting Windows networking and file sharing across multiple domains.
- Ability to research, plan, test, and resolve technical problems creatively and innovatively.
- Skilled in manipulating data from spreadsheets and exported files to create status reports and dashboards.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly through self-directed learning (manuals, journals, vendor documentation)
- Must have valid and current California driver’s license.
Job Description
Our client is looking for a Desktop Support/ Refresh Technician to help with the refresh of out-of-date devices. This team provides planning, implementation, and maintenance activities to deliver workstation services to their employees. This person will be responsible for refreshing desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals across multiple locations. They will be delivering new IT equipment to replace aging systems, collaborating with client support technicians and customers for system refreshes. Responsibilities will also include maintaining refresh guidelines and checklists, while managing asset records and inventory.
