Summary/Objective :  The Creative Marketing and Social Media Director, who will report to the Vice President of Operations, is tasked with developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for the collective. This role involves leading the creative and social media team in all initiatives related to the Schulson Collective's social channels. A strong social media presence and following are required for this position. The ideal candidate should be a proactive self-starter with a positive demeanor, a keen creative vision, and exceptional writing abilities. Additionally, they must be detail-oriented, results-focused, organized, and a reliable team collaborator. A solid background in analytics and reporting, keeping up with the latest social media trends, features, and best practices is essential to capitalize on new opportunities.

Essential Functions

  1. Works and delegates the creative team to create custom content for social media channels for day-to-day and larger brand initiatives while ensuring captions stay true to brand voice.
  2. Effectively communicates with the executives to advocate for the Creative Teams
  3. Manages the content calendar across all social media channels and executes postings.
  4. Develops an optimal posting schedule; considering web traffic & customer engagement metrics.
  5. Developing social media graphics and email marketing assets as needed.
  6. Owns community management by overseeing the team responding to comments & actively engaging with customers.
  7. Utilizes the platform's reporting and analytics tools to strategize and achieve maximum effectiveness of campaigns.
  8. Builds and maintains strong relationships with external social media vendors, influencers, and internal departments.
  9. Researches best practices and industry trends, and proactively recommends best strategies.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will manage/direct the creative, graphic design, and social media teams.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally push and/or pull up to 50 pounds. The employee may spend over 4 hours daily standing or walking.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or Communication
  • Minimum of 6 years in social media and marketing management
  • Proven social media following and presence 
  • Self-motivated and energetic individual with a high level of initiative and thrives working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Flexible availability
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Must have experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and other social media management platforms
  • Experience in managing photography, photo shoots, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with Google Business Pages
