Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by oncologists, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques, anatomy, and physiology, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with physician protocols.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor treatment progress and manage any side effects or complications.
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and aftercare.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Radiation Therapy Tech Min of 2 years of experience within specialty.
- Required AHA BLS, ARRT- Radiation Therapy Tech
- No local candidates within 50 miles.
