Responsibilities:
Sales Growth and Client Engagement
- Drive the expansion of a start-up division within the company by identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with both construction professionals and high-end single-family homeowners.
- Close sales by leveraging a "hunter and closer" mentality, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Construction Expertise
- Analyze and interpret construction blueprints to effectively communicate product value to clients.
- Understand and navigate construction protocols, systems, and processes to align with client needs and project timelines.
Market Analysis and Strategy
- Identify potential clients in the construction industry and develop tailored sales strategies.
- Present product offerings and services in a way that demonstrates their relevance.
Customer Focus
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations.
- Adapt communication style to connect effectively with construction workers and homeowners.
Collaboration and Professional Development
- Work closely with internal teams, including the installation manager, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in ongoing training and assessments to refine skills and stay updated on industry trends.
Sales Process Management
- Manage a long sales cycle (8+ months) with persistence and attention to detail.
- Prepare detailed proposals and maintain accurate records of sales activities.
Technology and Tools Utilization
- Leverage technology, including familiarity with Apple products, to enhance the sales process.
- Utilize CRM systems and sales tracking tools for data management and reporting.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of in-home or outside sales experience.
- 3+ years of construction related sales- construction products.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused.
- Comfortable with technology; Apple product experience preferred.
- Hunter and closer mentality.
- Experience selling building products to high end single family units.
- Down to earth - Can talk with construction workers and sophisticated homeowners.
- Coachable and eager to learn.
- Familiar with building process and timeframe of a new construction buildout.
- Valid driver’s license and flexible schedule required.
