SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Engineer position is an integral part of the Sales organization to support sales activities at a Pfeiffer location in the respective region of the US. He or she will support inside selling activities with direct contact with customers, quote/pricing support, sales prospecting and lead management, new customer onboarding, and product configuration support. Must have effective communication skills and be comfortable working across various departments to support customer requirements. A technical product background and sales experience is ideal for this role.

Duties
- Assist in managing sales processes and tools across Pfeiffer Vacuum’s technology Systems including CRM Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, ERP System, and ZoomInfo.
- To provide support on selling activities such as quotations, customer coverage, and trade shows.
- Focus on new business development, prospecting, and lead follow up strategies.
- Support new customer onboarding processes through CRM and ERP system.
- Improve customer support and satisfaction through new customer onboarding and assisting with existing customer requests, technical support, and product requests.
- Assist in setting up and executing customer lunch and learns, trainings, and seminars.
- Work cross-functionally with several departments including Sales, Customer Care, Market Managers, Product Managers, Service, Finance and Logistics to promote efficient and effective processes.

General Qualifications
Must be well organized, detail focused and able to multi-task. Must be able to get along well with all types of personalities to ensure the completion of tasks. Ability to work under tight and frequently changing deadlines in a dynamic business environment is necessary.
Education and/or Experience
Completion of 4-year degree in engineering or another technical field required. Prior sales experience and a knowledge of CRM, ERP, and sales processes a plus. A desire for growth and knowledge in a sales related position is important for this role.
Language Skills
The ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing is essential.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a disciplined approach to complete all tasks. The ability to understand the department’s needs and requirements is essential. Must be able to solve both practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of factors in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required at the time of hire and periodically thereafter.
TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT
This position uses a computer extensively with demonstrated abilities in the use of Microsoft products as well as other common office type equipment. Additionally, the use of SAP CRM and ERP systems will be required. Will also be utilizing Pfeiffer Vacuum’s range of products for demos, trade shows, and customer support.

This position may work in various environments including office, home, or customer site settings. Employees who choose to work from home are expected to comply with all company requirements for core work hours or in-person attendance at company meetings or events.
