The Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is an integral member of the healthcare team, providing advanced pharmacotherapeutic expertise to ensure optimal patient outcomes in the Emergency Department (ED). This role involves direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, medication therapy management, leadership and education initiatives within the ED setting.
Qualifications:
- Experience: PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency with 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in an emergency or critical care setting required.
- Preferred Experience: PGY-2 Residency in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care preferred.
- Required Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Certifications: Eligible for Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification (preferred in area of specialty practice).
