A leading P&C insurer with an "A- Excellent" rating from AM Best is recruiting for a Data Analytics professional to join their team in Charlotte, NC.

This role will prepare data for the actuarial team, and support efforts for the firm to expand into machine learning and AI. Ideal candidates will come from a strong insurance background.

This role requires 5 days on-site to the Charlotte, NC office. A business case can be made after the first few months to get hybrid scheduling. No sponsorship opportunities are available at this time.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Create dashboards, and generate insights to support decision-making and optimize pricing, risk assessment, and fraud detection.
• Work cross-functionally to improve processes, refine strategies, and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Identify efficiency improvements, uncover new market opportunities, and enhance internal systems using advanced analytics tools.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3-4 years of experience of Data Analytics/ Science experience in the insurance domain
• Power BI, SQL, and Excel ability
• Preferred: experience with machine learning and AI
