Primary focus is taking accountability for the successful end-to-end (initiation to go-live) delivery of the IT components of the CUW upgrade – this includes managing stakeholders, expectations, scope, estimates/budget/costs, schedules, team members, and the quality of all deliverables.
In doing so, the IT Delivery Manager will:
· Be ultimately accountable for the successful delivery of the CUW upgrade
· Develop and manage the IT delivery plan (which is part of the overarching project plan)
· Be responsible for organizing all IT resources required to achieve the stated business aim
· Take any appropriate remedial action to ensure delivery plan remains / returns to Green
· Demonstrate leadership and take into account stakeholder perspectives
· Demonstrate impeccable customer servicing skills and team working
· Negotiate with elegance and know when to escalate
· Work closely and coordinate with business stakeholders, business PM, EPMO, Data, Infrastructure and Service Management teams
· Interpret business requirements and work with IT SMEs to define technical design to enable them
· Conduct due diligence to ensure that the solution meets requirements
· Assess the right balance between delivery, affordability, execution risk, strategic objectives and alignment to architecture principles and policies
· Report on the delivery progress to EPMO Project Managers and wider Stakeholders
· Get the best out of our ADM suppliers
· Will be required to manage Aspen staff, contractors, suppliers or consultants
· Have a good working knowledge of the business function and their requirements
In addition to the CUW upgrade, the IT Delivery Manager may be requested to support the following;
· Provide technical assessment of Reinsurance Pricing platform options
· Support delivery of interim Reinsurance Pricing platform solutions including coordination of delivery between actuarial pricing and relevant vendor teams
