Job Details

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

2. Performing basic VLOOKUPs and other Excel formulas, to support management decision-making processes.

3. Preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial records.

4. Conducting monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

5. Managing and reconciling prepaids, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

6. Providing proactive and resourceful solutions to financial challenges, working closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.

7. Being approachable and available to provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

3. Expertise in payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.

4. Proficiency in using Excel for financial analysis, including the use of VLOOKUPs and other formulas.

5. A resourceful and proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and resolve financial issues effectively.

6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

7. A positive and approachable demeanor, with a commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

8. A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

9. Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred but not required.
