Title : Project Engineer

Location : Louisville, Ky

Shift : 1st M-F

Pay : $45-$60hrly


Insight Global is currently seeking a Project Engineer for a 12 month long contract to hire opportunity supporting a large food and beverage service company. This individual will be working among 11 different locations and must be comfortable being in the field. It can be expected that 50% of the time this engineer will be traveling to the various locations (Raleigh, NC, Dallas, TX, Des Moines, IA, Cranberry, NJ, Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, Orlando, FL, Portland, OR. Louisville, KY, Denver, CO, and Atlanta, GA). This project engineer will be primarily responsible for the implementation, support, and oversight of large capital projects. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic plans for QCC projects (some examples include: equipment replacement, equipment selection, productivity improvement, cost savings, etc.) They will also be tasked with coordinating projects with safety teams and working to ensure contractor safety, food safety, and employee safety. This is highly visible role in which this individual will need to have great communication skills as they will have the opportunity to work with all levels of leadership and will be collaborating with all facets of the engineering staff. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented and organized as they will utilize Peoplesoft, Smartsheet, and Excel for all documentation purposes.


Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (to the 11 cities listed below)
  • B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
  • 3-5 years hands on project management experience in a food/beverage or pharmaceutical setting
  • Ability to read construction plans, equipment and shop drawings, P&IDs, etc.
  • Electrical Code Requirement Understanding
  • Comfortable managing contractors and engaging in vendors and OEMs
