Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating design projects to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional client satisfaction. This role involves collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to monitor project progress, resolve roadblocks, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with design teams to develop project plans and schedules.
- Monitors budgets and proactively identifies scope changes, preparing additional service requests as needed.
- Facilitates communication among stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Conducts and schedules site surveys, internal meetings, and external progress reviews.
- Reviews project documentation, ensuring adherence to company standards and industry codes.
- Coordinates project handoffs, kickoffs, quality control (QC) reviews, and construction administration processes.
- Assists in the resolution of RFIs, submittals, and change orders to ensure timely project progression.
- Utilizes project management tools and systems (e.g., Newforma) to track documentation and communication.
- Provides feedback on team performance and identifies areas for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in an MEP engineering firm or related project management role.
- Engineer-in-Training certification or professional registration is preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as industry-standard building codes.
