Job Description: Civil Engineer

• Civil engineering position, pay range is 50,000-80,000 plus, depending on experience.
• Will be in meetings with clients and will go onsite, must be professional.
• Schedule is 7:30 AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday, that is a typical schedule but if on a project and might have to stay longer to get it done.
• No insurance benefits but do offer a simple IRA with a 3 percent match.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.

Licensing or Certifications:

• Professional Engineering license in Kentucky (Reciprocity).

Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Carlson Civil Suite or similar software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of Adobe or similar software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to prepare construction documents and reports.
• Import and prepare base drawings using field survey data.
• Create comprehensive construction plan sets.
• Develop site layouts and related designs.
• Produce CADD drawings and visual aids.
• Perform engineering calculations for hydraulic and hydrologic systems, including drainage, water, and sewer.
• Design and prepare erosion control plans, hydrology and drainage reports, post-construction stormwater management plans, and construction plans.
• Work effectively within a team environment.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Contribute ideas and innovations to the design team.
• Ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
• Lead a design team and provide mentorship.
• Attend and lead meetings with clients, utility companies, and review agencies.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Take on challenging tasks and projects with a proactive approach.
• Maintain accurate logs and databases.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills.
