Job Description: Civil Engineer
- Civil engineering position, pay range is 50,000-80,000 plus, depending on experience.
- Will be in meetings with clients and will go onsite, must be professional.
- Schedule is 7:30 AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday, that is a typical schedule but if on a project and might have to stay longer to get it done.
- No insurance benefits but do offer a simple IRA with a 3 percent match.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
Licensing or Certifications:
- Professional Engineering license in Kentucky (Reciprocity).
Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with Carlson Civil Suite or similar software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of Adobe or similar software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to prepare construction documents and reports.
- Import and prepare base drawings using field survey data.
- Create comprehensive construction plan sets.
- Develop site layouts and related designs.
- Produce CADD drawings and visual aids.
- Perform engineering calculations for hydraulic and hydrologic systems, including drainage, water, and sewer.
- Design and prepare erosion control plans, hydrology and drainage reports, post-construction stormwater management plans, and construction plans.
- Work effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Contribute ideas and innovations to the design team.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
- Lead a design team and provide mentorship.
- Attend and lead meetings with clients, utility companies, and review agencies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Take on challenging tasks and projects with a proactive approach.
- Maintain accurate logs and databases.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills.
