Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to lead the digital transformation of our Genetic Testing Healthcare System . As the CDO, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation, optimizing digital operations, and ensuring the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. This is a full-time position based in Texas, with the flexibility to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy to enhance the LIMS-powered genetic testing platform.
- Align digital initiatives with organizational goals and ensure their successful implementation.
- Serve as a thought leader on digital innovation within the genetic testing and healthcare sectors.
Platform Optimization and Innovation:
- Oversee the end-to-end digital architecture, ensuring system scalability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and integrate new technologies to improve operational efficiency and enhance user experience.
- Lead efforts to modernize and expand the capabilities of the LIMS platform, leveraging AI/ML for data analysis and reporting.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, R&D, operations, and marketing, to ensure cohesive digital strategies.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and regulatory bodies, to align digital solutions with industry requirements.
Data and Analytics:
- Drive the utilization of data analytics to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and improve genetic testing accuracy and delivery.
- Ensure the secure management of sensitive genetic data, adhering to all relevant data privacy and security regulations.
Leadership and Team Building:
- Build and lead a high-performing digital team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Mentor team members to develop their skills and expertise in digital technologies and healthcare systems.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare informatics or digital transformation are a plus.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in digital transformation, IT leadership, or related roles, with a focus on healthcare or genetic testing.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale digital initiatives and platform integrations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of LIMS systems, genetic testing workflows, and healthcare IT.
- Proficiency in data analytics, cloud technologies, and emerging technologies like AI and machine learning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the genetic testing industry.
