About the Role

• The lab infrastructure services engineer is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the Custom Compute and Solutions (CCS) product labs.
• The person in this contract position is expected to have a deep understanding of data center management.
• Perform various tasks on different projects of CCS Engineering labs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a systems or network administrator in a R&D or IT environment.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of technical experience, in a large-scale data center or IT infrastructure environment.
• Manage and maintain the lab infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment and HW components.
• Commitment to Quality.
• Great communication skills with accountability to internal customers and Labs.
• Experience with standard lab equipment (e.g., Racks, test bed benches, switches, and power supplies).
• In-depth knowledge of System/OS level TCP/IP Networking is a must.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work inside a data center environment.
• Must be able to rack-mount servers and connect required cabling.
• Must be able to work extended hours inside a data center environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as oral and written skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiar with the installation, operation, repair and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure, including LAN TCP/IP knowledge related to problem research.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive to identify and come up with solutions to lab needs.
• High level of flexibility.
