Onsite Requirements:

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of FHIR, HL7, and EDI as data acquisition and ingestion approaches.
  • At least 5 years of product delivery experience in health IT, acute care hospital clinical setting, or managing systems that integrate with the clinical workflow in various electronic health record systems
  • At least 5 years of direct experience managing a product lifecycle, developing, and maintaining the roadmap, creating the business case for new development, and managing a prioritized backlog for product development

Job Description :

  • Strategic Roadmap Development:
    • Focus on developing a strategic roadmap for the Data Platform supporting clinical surveillance products.
    • Collaborate with the VP of Product Management and Portfolio Product Managers to define the strategic direction of the data platform.
  • Project Prioritization and Execution:
    • Prioritize and execute projects for enhancing the data platform.
    • Ensure the data platform meets the needs of clinical surveillance products by managing ingestion, standardization, enrichment, and processing of data.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of FHIR, HL7, and EDI for data acquisition and ingestion.
    • Manage data enrichment through 3rd party reference content and computations, including machine learning models and GenAI processing.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work with internal stakeholders, product development, and advanced technology teams to develop detailed product requirements.
    • Lead product analysts to convert requirements into development stories and ensure timely delivery.
  • Agile Methodology:
    • Use Agile Scrum development methodologies with two-week sprint cycles.
    • Maintain a prioritized product backlog, balancing new feature development, technology tasks, and bug fixes.
  • High-Impact Role:
    • Regularly interact with customers and senior business unit leadership.
    • Present well-considered plans to executive audiences.
  • Roadmap Management:
    • Work under the VP of Product Management and collaborate with Portfolio Product Managers to maintain a rolling 12-month product roadmap, maximizing business value.
  • Customer Feedback Integration:
    • Regularly review feature requests from customers and stakeholders to refine the roadmap.
    • Collaborate with Customer Support and Success teams to ensure bug fixes are prioritized and communicate updates effectively.
  • Industry Awareness:
    • Stay updated on new technical capabilities in data acquisition and processing to leverage novel approaches.
    • Collaborate with Product Development on new projects, evaluating required resources, expenses, and timelines.
  • Risk and Value Assessment:
    • Assess roadmap candidates based on business value, risks, costs, and opportunity costs.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of product delivery experience in health IT or acute care hospital clinical settings.
    • At least 5 years of experience with healthcare interoperability using FHIR, HL7, or EDI formats.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a product lifecycle, developing and maintaining a roadmap, creating business cases, and managing a prioritized backlog.
    • Experience working with clinical subject matter experts to gather product requirements.
    • Experience aligning product investments with company strategy and presenting to executive audiences.
    • Proficiency in Agile Scrum software development, including breaking down product enhancements into smaller tasks.
    • Experience in requirements and project management for complex projects.
    • Background in healthcare industry or hospital information technology is preferred.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Excellent written, listening, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
    • Customer-focused with a deep understanding of medication data in US healthcare IT.
    • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
    • Collaborative and open to new ideas, with a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.
    • Data-driven and objective in evaluating problems.
