Opportunity Summary:

Continuum Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investment Analyst to become an integral member of its team. The Senior Investment Analyst will play a diverse role, providing analytical and research support to multiple business initiatives, including acquisitions, developments, asset management, and investor relations. The position will be responsible for financial analysis during each stage of an investment’s lifecycle and will work closely with senior leadership across the organization. Ideal candidates have a strong background in financial analysis, investment research, and real estate asset management. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to make informed investment decisions. Strong financial knowledge, transactional intelligence, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Create and maintain financial models for potential and existing investments using Excel to forecast unlevered and levered cash flows, joint venture waterfalls, and pro forma investment returns.
  • Evaluate real estate investment and development opportunities by analyzing market trends, supply/demand dynamics, industry research, comparable properties, and historical financial statements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Support senior leadership in developing business plans for prospective real estate projects and real estate-centric operating businesses.
  • Collaborate with project leads to produce investment memos and project status updates.
  • Perform detailed due diligence for prospective investments and manage information sharing and counterparty diligence for sell-side transactions.
  • Support Continuum’s asset management and reporting processes by updating pro forma cash flows and internal valuations, compiling financial reporting data, and supporting project leads and the CEO with the preparation of investor reporting.

 

Education, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a similar analytical field.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in real estate finance, development, private equity, or institutional investment sales.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, including significant experience using Excel to create and manipulate real estate pro formas and investment models. Experience with Argus, Juniper Square (or a similar investment management software), and Yardi a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated transactional intelligence and experience with complex, fast-moving negotiations.
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment with multiple active projects and frequent context switching and changing priorities.
