MAU is hiring an Accounting Analyst for our client in Greer, SC. As an Accounting Analyst, you will analyze and monitor various accounts to ensure accurate handling of company liabilities. You will also contribute to projects and support system enhancements aimed at improving operational efficiency. This is a contract, long-term opportunity.

Shift Information:
- Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, OR
- An equivalent of 4 years of experience in an accounting environment
General Requirements:
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and the Windows operating environment
- Familiarity with SAP FI (Accounts Payable) and MM (Procurement) modules (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information
Essential Functions:
- Executes accounting tasks, including budget planning, budget control, invoice processing, and claims management
- Coordinates receivables and payables with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Monitors, analyzes, and reports on operational processes to identify opportunities for improving accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
- Oversees and resolves Accounts Receivable/Payable open items, such as debit balances, workflow issues, and payment discrepancies
- Contributes to projects impacting Accounts Receivable/Payable processes
- Conducts account analysis and maintenance, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve outstanding items and mitigate financial risks
- Supports system and process design, maintenance, and testing, including upgrades and enhancements
- Provides backup support for accounts payable postings as needed
- Prepares month-end management reports, including key performance metrics
- Completes month-end journal entries
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the operations supervisor
