Chicago's favorite Filipino Bakery is seeking a diligent and reliable Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
• Sort and stack clean dishes for storage or distribution to kitchen staff
• Empty trash bins and maintain cleanliness in dishwashing area
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
• Follow sanitation procedures and adhere to health and safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and surrounding areas
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Food safety certification is a plus
