We are seeking a competent Event Sales Manager to oversee and organize events develop and grow event sales at The Group NYC restaurants located in Washington, D.C. and strive to maximize event revenue while creating extraordinary client and guest experience. Enthusiastic candidates with a marketing mindset with the detailed and organizational skills to not leave anything about an event to chance will be successful in this role!
This role is paid at base salary + 3% commission based off of events.
Responsibilities
- Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
- Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
- Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
- Coordinate all the BEO details with the operations team
- Review and confirm with appropriate teams on all aspects before the day of the event
- Ensure the events are completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
- Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports to the Director of Operations
Skills
- Proven experience as an event sales manager
- Experience with Tripleseat and OpenTable
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
- Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Excellent organizational skills
- A knack for problem-solving
- Customer-service orientation
- A team player with leadership skills
- Available to work nights and weekends per business needs
- BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management, or related field is preferred
