Position Overview:
As a Catering Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and driving event sales for memorable events. Your expertise in event sales, combined with a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, will ensure our clients' visions are booked and executed seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and develop relationships with potential clients to secure new event bookings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and vision, offering creative and customized solutions.
- Manage the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Provide complete and detailed banquet event orders to set the operations team up for success.
- Utilize a variety of sales techniques including strong closing skills and negotiation skills.
- Conduct site inspections and client presentations.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales goals while maintaining high client satisfaction.
- Create detailed event orders and ensure all details are communicated effectively to the operations team.
- Represent Rusty Pelican at networking events and industry functions to promote the venue.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in Catering Sales/Event Sales required.
- Must have experience at a similar size property (restaurant, hotel or event venue) and with a similar sales volume.
- Experience in South Florida market
- Advanced knowledge of venue features, benefits, and competing venues within the market.
- Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
- Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
- Positive attitude, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and have fun in the workplace.
- Proven experience in catering sales or event planning, preferably in a high-volume or luxury venue.
