We are a group practice in Weaverville that has a Whole Family approach. We are looking to add an occupational therapist to our team!
An occupational therapist is responsible for performing an evaluation to determine the client's current level of functioning, and then plans and implements a treatment program. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a genuine interest in making a difference in clients' lives, and the ability to work well with others as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Use updated and newly created treatment plans to treat patients.
- Work with patients to improve their physical, cognitive, behavioral, and social functioning.
- Integrate medical practices with occupational therapy for the purpose of patient treatment.
- Manage treatment progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Work in different environments with patients.
- Post-educational assessment of medical history and occupational status to determine needs for therapy.
- Manage time assignments for patient treatment.
- Be responsible for managing all aspects of the therapist-patient relationship including aspects of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
