Job Summary:


Our client is a top mechanical design/build Mechanical contractor located in Denver Colorado, specializing in design assist/build projects. Supports the company's overall sales objectives by promoting engineering, construction, construction management, industrial, and service capabilities. Utilizes selling, pricing, engineering, and management skills to support the team in procuring work and designing jobs to meet client needs and achieve a fair profit for the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a client base of general contractors and end-users
  • Provide market condition and trend feedback to the business unit team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely future sales projections.
  • Understand and support other business unit processes to achieve goals.
  • Meet assigned gross margin dollars and percentage objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of company resources required for project completion.
  • Create new client relationships and act as the primary contact for unresolved project issues.
  • Maintain relationships with assigned client accounts.
  • Provide technical design expertise for conceptual/budget estimates and completed working documents.
  • Price products appropriately to meet job objectives and ensure fair profit for the company.
  • Manage the preconstruction process from lead generation to construction operations turnover.
  • Prepare sales proposals and present them to potential clients and prospects.
  • Manage the estimating team to produce complete and accurate estimates.
  • Maintain contact with projects throughout development and construction, including job cost reviews and communication with the Project Engineer, Project Managers, and Owner.
  • Participate effectively on the company team to meet client needs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Stay updated on current mechanical systems through ongoing education (ASHRAE, DBIA, ACCA, etc.).
  • Establish positive and functional job relationships.
  • Meet with clients to gather information and coordinate plans.
  • Obtain information and pricing details from vendors.
  • Coordinate with other company employees to resolve project-related issues.
  • Work with project engineers to conceptualize designs.
  • Support total quality and team-based efforts. Identify and respond to internal and external client needs 100% of the time.
  • Adhere to safety and employee policies.
  • Mentor and train Junior Sales Engineers in sales approaches, system concepts, client relations, and corporate philosophy.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to meet position requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 5-15 years of experience with HVAC systems and industrial systems.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Must be approved to drive per company driving standards.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical equipment/systems applications.
  • Ability to discuss technical aspects of HVAC systems with internal partners and clients.
  • Must be approved to drive per company insurance carrier.
  • Working knowledge of architectural, electrical, structural, and fire protection drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
