A leading industrial manufacturing company is looking for an EHS Manager to support their site in the Richmond Indiana area. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all EHS activities across a manufacturing and distribution facility.

Working closely with the leadership team, the EHS Manager is responsible for the technical development, implementation, and management of EHS activities concerning regulatory compliance, sustainability, employee training, workers compensation, and security.

The Role:

• Develop, implement, train, and communicate EHS&S programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Monitor facilities for compliance with local, state, and federal EPA and OSHA regulations and Corporate EHS policies.
• Interpret environmental and safety laws and regulations, corporate EHS requirements, and implement the requirements into plant operations and compliance programs.
• Develop, prepare, and conduct environmental safety training to ensure compliance. This includes hazardous waste, hazardous materials, confined space, lockout/tagout, PPE, storm water, and contingency/spill plans.

The Candidate:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in chemical, civil engineering safety, environmental science or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of policies, regulations, and specifications of requirements governing EPA, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Experience with wastewater, air and stormwater compliance.
• Tier II and TRI reporting.
