Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable individual with prior commercial driving experience and a clean driving record to join our team. This role involves picking up products from vendors and delivering them to customers within Anchorage and the Eagle River area, with occasional trips to the Peninsula during the summer.

The ideal candidate must be able to assist with loading and unloading trucks using a pallet jack and perform warehouse duties as needed, including operating a forklift.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Secure cargo and ensure it is properly arranged and balanced within the vehicle.
• Report any mechanical issues with the vehicle before driving.
• Plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports, noting defects, accidents, or violations.
• Perform daily truck maintenance (e.g., refueling, cleaning).
• Load and unload box trucks using pallet jacks.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Verify loads for accuracy and record cargo deliveries.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and GPS software.
• Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (e.g., traffic, weather conditions).
• Valid driver's license and current DOT medical card from approved physician.
• Forklift experience is helpful.

Our driver also helps in the warehouse when not driving. We would be open to a part time driver if the right candidate was interested in making deliveries and picking up products.
