Project Description:

Compliance & Order Management Equity Transactions (COMET) application is used for Equity Order Management, PCS and Compliance. Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS) is a multi-asset class, multi-currency software solution that provides complete straight-through processing on a single, consolidated platform.


Responsibilities:

This role is semi functional and semi technical, where the developer will need to verify correct behavior on the proprietary CRD UI using their tooling which uses XML and SQL to source control it.


We're looking for someone who can help with converting Oracle SQL queries to CRD proprietary "SQL-like" queries. They will need to test out behavior to the CRD Thick Client UI.


There will also involve scripting to streamline setup of the configs (i.e. setup repeatable deployments of the UI configs, organization of our components in source control).


You may also have to help modify other UI components that don't involve much SQL and requires using their proprietary tool, which is maintained using CRD's XML.


As usual the role assumes the candidate to:

• Provide analytical, operational and strategic support

• Analyse the business need and provide recommendations

• Map the business requirements to the application

• Design of application database: structure, content and processes of data population;

• Validate the solution with the end users;

• Design the reports and extraction: SQL statement, layout formatting, and report publication;

• Apply correspondent methodology and tools, the elaboration and implementation of consistent work plans, project and program documents, and achievement of results;

• Ensure proper reporting on implementation and achievement of outputs, as well as contribute to reporting on progress towards outcomes and impact.


Mandatory Skills Description:

Functional knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of financial products;


Technical knowledge:

• Expert Oracle Database knowledge

• SQL and PL/SQL (views, joins, stored procedures, packages etc);

• Experience with database performance analysis and troubleshooting

• Experience with Oracle database optimization & performance tuning

• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter ETL tools.

• Unix/Linux basic knowledge, shell scripting.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
