The Opportunity
A boutique law firm located in Newark, New Jersey seeks a Bankruptcy Paralegal on a part-time, temporary basis: 20 hours weekly, onsite. The hourly rate is between $25 - $30, plus benefits.
Primary Duties:
The Bankruptcy Paralegal will assist with the preparation of bankruptcy petitions, draft legal correspondence and pro forma motions. Additional duties include the following:
- Prepare, file, and serve pleadings
- ?Calendar and track related court and internal deadlines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
- Proficient in cloud-based platforms such as Jubilee
- Experience preparing bankruptcy petitions
- Experience drafting legal correspondence and pro forma motions
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 with knowledge of Outlook and Word
