Job Description
Summary of Basic Function:
Responsible for providing analytical and documentation services relating to commercial lending activities, analyzing financial statements and other relevant data and making recommendations on customer credit worthiness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer financial data, perform credit and trend analysis.
  • Ability to work on basic credits involving business entities and individuals with transactions primarily consisting of commercial real estate and C&I credits.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of commercial loan documents, as well as sales agreements, leases and other materials related to accurately underwriting a loan request.
  • Research and analyze all relevant financial, industry, management and collateral information on new credit applications, as well as ACH and RDC applications and borrowing base calculations. May also work on reviews of existing credit facilities and renewals of lines of credit, as needed.
  • Prepare credit summaries for presentation to appropriate approval authorities within the Bank.
  • Review, update, and maintain existing loan files to assure that current financial statements and any other relevant information is accurately documented and contained within the credit file.
  • Utilize software to spread customer financial information to facilitate assessment of financial capacity.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned on a timely basis.
  • Furnish accurate and timely recommendations to Loan Officers and Management.
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of the loan process.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on business need.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Three-Five years of minimum experience in a Commercial Credit Analyst role.
  • Proven analytical skills, report writing skills and thorough attention to detail.
  • Self-directed. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel, as well as financial spreading software (e.g., Moody's). Experience with LoanVantage or other loan operating software a plus, but not required.
  • Physical Requirements: prolonged standing (5-8 hours per day), frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, frequent lifting of 1-10lbs, occasional lifting of up to 50lbs, ability to see and read fine print, must be able to distinguish and count currency.
  • Job may occasionally require working evenings or Saturdays. Job may require local travel between branches or offsite travel for training.

  • Upon supervisory approval, this position offers hybrid flexibility, with the ability to work both remotely and on site in the office.   • Work may be performed in an office environment with normal noise levels.

  • Position is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and incumbent will need to live within a commutable distance.
