Job Description The Position This position will provide the highest quality support to the Pensacola Plant and will report directly to the Manager, Human Resources. This role will proactively provide support performing a variety of human resources duties including but not limited to sourcing, interviewing and hiring, employee relations, benefits administration, training, government compliance, and special projects.
Responsibilities Responsibilities - Provides plant human resources support that includes talent acquisition, staffing, retention, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training, records management, succession planning, employee relations, and HRIS administration.
- Perform full-life cycle recruiting activities on a national scale by identifying, evaluating, and selecting qualified candidates utilizing various recruiting techniques, including networking, search engine optimization and referrals.
- Serve as Pensacola liaison to create and foster relationships with colleges and professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diversity candidates. Will require attendance at job and career fairs.
- Manage local hourly payroll, to include vacation, holiday and sick day taken, maintaining attendance and point system.
- Manage FMLA and LOA claims for both hourly and salary, working with 3rd party vendor Lincoln Financial Group.
- Prepares reports and correspondence requested by management where information must be obtained from a variety of sources, as well as makes recommendations. This includes the development of ad hoc reports within the system that provided the needed information to management.
- Assists in the planning and conducts new employee orientation and prepares materials required for new employees on day one.
- Ensure employee files are maintained at each location to ensure that appropriate information is contained therein and that required information.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
Qualifications Qualifications - 3-5 years' experience as a human resources generalist role focused on recruitment of all levels of employees from entry level non-exempt positions to senior leadership positions in a small to medium sized organization, prefer prior corporate and/or field sales experience.
- Must have knowledge of full life cycle recruiting.
- Must have knowledge of employment regulations with the DOL, EEOC and OFCCP.
- Computer literate with program such as Word, excel, etc.
- Solid payroll knowledge background; Kronos experience a plus.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent
- BA Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
